This 38-inch fire pit is fueled by propane and features 40，000 BTUs， enough to warm an area up to 15 square feet. The burner has a thermocouple flame failure device which shuts the gas off if the flame is lost. The base of the table has an easy access door which conceals the propane tank and makes changing the tank a breeze. The GS-F-PC also comes with starter fire glass and a lid to cover the burner pan when not in use. This fire pit is CSA approved. The Guardsman Premier Protection Plan offered with this fire pit covers damage to the table， but it does not cover damage to the burner.
